This beautiful pewter amulet measures 1.5 inches and comes on a cord. This figure represents a priestess depicted in a painting on the wall of the palace of Knossos, on the isle of Crete. She holds two double-headed axes, called Labryses. These axes are the symbol of feminine power. The double axe's symbolism is partly based on the form of the butterfly, whose metamorphosis stands for the transformation of consciousness.
