Description
Jackfruit (aka Nangka) beads from the Philippines. This is a 16" strand of 3mm beads. If you want bright color in your designs without sacrificing the warmth of natural beads, jackfruit tree beads are the perfect choice! Also referred to as nangka (Artocarpus Heterophylla), these wooden beads come from the jackfruit tree, which is native to parts of Southern and Southeast Asia. Its fruit is the largest tree borne fruit in the world. The beads are a warm yellow in color, and their finish regularly shows the grain of the wood for an earthier look. Jackfruit beads are great for their rich tones in jewelry, and jackfruit wood can even be used for furniture and musical instruments!
