Furnace glass (aka cane glass) beads are high quality glass canes, or rods of glass with one or many longitudinal colors, which are then encased in clear glass. The hot glass canes are pulled out to form linear and twisting stripe patterns, then cut in cross section into beads. Beads vary from 2mm - 8mm in width, with holes measuring 0.5mm - 4mm. Numerous hole sizes allow for stringing on different thicknesses of materials. This listing is for one ounce of mixed beads. In my research on the well-known craft site and many others, I found mixes averaging about up to $24 per ounce! Beads in your ounce will vary in size, shape and color and are random picks. These are US made, NOT Chinese, but NOT David Christensen, either.
